Nick Lachey 'Extremely Happy' To Marry Vanessa Minnillo

Nick Lachey is current promoting the second season of NBC’s a cappella vocal competition show, The Sing-Off. The host, 37, also opened up about his upcoming marriage to long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, 30.

“I want it to be about her,” the former boy band singer told People. “Any guy will tell you that it’s probably more about the bride than the groom. It’s just about celebrating your love for each other.”

He added, “She’s my soulmate in every way….She gets me, I get her….She’s a great girl….incredibly intelligent, incredibly personable. She’s independent, yet supportive. I’m extremely happy that she’s mine.”

When asked about children, Nick said, “I’m pushing 40 here, so the time is probably imminent. Everything happens in the right time and for now, it’s good training to be an uncle.”

Are you excited for Nick/Vanessa offspring?

Justin Bieber’s Mom Cancels His Phone Plan: You’re Grounded!

Justin Bieber's Mom Cancels His Phone Plan

In rare occurrences, child celebrities are kept grounded by their parents in order to try to keep a level head and a sense of normalcy. This is the case with Justin Bieber as his mom recently cancelled his phone plan as a form of punishment.

Here’s what he had to say about it:

“Mom travels with me. We argue yes, I think every parent and son argue, but I love my mom. I think it’s good she travels with me but sometimes I need a break because I’m with her 24/7, but I love her, I like being with her.”

More from Justin:

“The other day she cancelled my phone plan. We got into an argument about something stupid, and she was like, ‘Give me the phone’, and I was like, ‘No’, so she just went and cancelled it.”

Seems like a harsh punishment for such a famous kid. What if he misses out on a call for a chance at a great duet? Hopefully Usher and Justin carry back-up walkie talkies.

Do you think Justin should get special treatment?

The Smurfs Cartoon: Facebook Fame And A Movie?

The Smurfs Movie Comes Out August 3, 2011

The Smurfs, an animated cartoon, ran throughout the 80’s and became one of pop cultures biggest fixtures. Today, these characters are being reinvented in more ways that one.

Not only are the Smurfs getting another shot at fame through Facebook profile pictures, but they are also due to be exploited in a feature length film out August 3, 2011.

The premise of the film goes like this:

Set in the Middle Ages, the evil wizard Gargamel (Hank Azaria) and his cat discover the Smurfs’ village and chase them into some woods. The Smurfs get scattered and Clumsy Smurf (voiced by Anton Yelchin) wanders into a “forbidden” grotto and some of the other Smurfs follow. But Papa Smurf just warns about the grotto, where all Smurfs should never go into this little cave. Since it’s also a blue moon, a magical portal within the grotto transports them into Central Park in New York. They take shelter with a married couple (Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays) and try to find a way back to their village before Gargamel finds them.

Check out the trailer for the upcoming film.

What do you think of the new film?

Cartoon Pictures For Your Facebook Profile: Which Care Bear Are You?

Care Bears Were A Popular Cartoon Fixture

Did you know that Care Bears originated on greeting cards? And that they were made into plush stuffed animals before even hitting the television airwaves? Seems a little reverse if you ask me. But, alas, they will forever be a part of our pop culture.

In light of cartoon characters being posted to Facebook profiles, I thought it’d be a good time to list the original care bears and for you to decide which one you are.

The ten original Care Bears consisted of Bedtime Bear, Birthday Bear, Cheer Bear, Friend Bear, Funshine Bear, Good Luck Bear, Grumpy Bear, Love-a-lot Bear, Tenderheart Bear, and Wish Bear.

I’ve always considered myself Tenderheart Bear because I tend to always see the good in people. I guess that means I have a big heart. Which Care Bear do you think you would be?

Cartoon Pictures For Your Facebook Profile: Characters From The 90’s

Doug Funny Was A Popular Cartoon Character From The 90's

We all know and love cartoons. They are one of our favorite past times growing up and many of these characters will forever be stuck in our memories.

In honor of posting cartoon pictures to your Facbeook profile, I decided to make a list of my all-time favorite cartoon characters from the 90’s – the era I grew up in. Yes, I know some of these originated earlier than the 90’s, but that’s when I watched them.

1. Doug

The series takes place in the fictitious town of Bluffington (where Doug Funnie and his family have moved from Bloatsburg) and deals with the life of the title character, grade-schooler and diarist Doug Funnie.

2. David the Gnome

David was a 399-year-old gnome of the forest. David was a doctor, and he used his knowledge of many fields, such as hypnosis and acupuncture, to heal his patients, usually animals, such as his faithful friend Swift the fox, or other gnomes. David also befriends a bird that, when he whistles, immediately arrives to quickly transport him to wherever necessary.

3. Muppet Babies

The Muppet Babies live in a large nursery watched over by Nanny, the only human character in the show that appears on a regular basis. The babies have active imaginations, and often embark on adventures into imaginary worlds and perilous situations from which they are eventually returned to reality by some external event, such as Nanny coming to see what the noise was. They are constantly finding creative ways to entertain themselves and learn to work together to solve problems and survive their wild-imagined adventures.

What’s your favorite 90’s character?
