Teen Mom-ster: Amber Portwood Go Shirley Plaything

We can debate all day whether or not MTV glorifies teen pregnancy, but one of its more infamous reality stars certainly doesn't make her life look appealing.
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is once again in the spotlight, and it's not because her baby daughter's so darn cute. It's because of - you guessed it - RAGE.
We reported recently about Amber's ex, Gary Shirley, creepin' on random girls. Turns out he's started dating one of them, and the situation came to a head.

"Gary and his new girl were hanging out on Friday night and Amber was late night texting him like she always does," a source close to the situation said.
"His date thought it was inappropriate, the things Amber said, so she called and told her to quit trying to get him to hang out because he's moved on."
Portwood has also moved on with Clinton Yunker, but friends close to the reality TV star say she still holds out hope of getting back with Gary Shirley.
"Amber was jealous that Gary's been with other girls since they broke up," the source said. "Gary's new girlfriend is way prettier than Amber and it drives her crazy. She even asked her what someone as pretty as her would want with Gary."
Portwood was so upset that she went over to Shirley's house and demanded that he delete his new girlfriend's phone number from his cell phone.
"Gary really likes this new girl, but he was mad at her for telling Amber they were dating and stirring the pot ... he knows the way Amber can be."
"The whole thing was really weird because then all of a sudden Amber Portwood flipped the switch and started trying to befriend Gary's new girl."
Portwood was charged with domestic abuse following the airing of an episode of Teen Mom where she hit Shirley and the Indiana Department of Child Protective Services temporarily removed their daughter Leah from her home.
Leah is now back home with Amber, but remains under DCS supervision.
"Amber insisted on doing a three-way call with Gary and his new girl but got angry when she heard the way he was talking to the new girl because she said it was 'how he used to talk to me,'" the insider said ... and so the saga goes.

Angelica Panganiban Reunited With Long-Lost Dad! (PHOTOS)

Angelica Panganiban meets her dad for the first time

Filipino actress Angelica Panganiban got a very early Christmas president this year. A few weeks ago, the former child star was reunited with her long-lost father, an American whom she had never met. Panganiban was adopted at a young age, and she allowed the Filipino show “The Buzz” film her first meeting with her birth father.

The two spent five days together and even watched one of the beautiful young actress’s movies.

The meet-up had Twitter abuzz last night, where her fans watched the touching scene with tears in their eyes. Tweeted one: “Watching Angelica Panganiban interview. What a story. Am teary eyed as a father and a fellow human.”

FIFA World Cup 2018: Dad David Beckham, Prince William Fail to Sway Voters

Prince William failed to sway voters in his FIFA presentation this morning

Apparently the World Cup bid committee wasn’t impressed by the likes of David Beckham, a dad of three, and Prince William, son of the late Princess Diana. Amid what’s sure to be huge backlash, the FIFA World Cup 2018 was awarded to Russia. The British newspapers are already in agony, with the Guardian calling the decision a “humiliation.”

So did Beckham lack the star power to convince the committee that England deserved the bid? Word is he and Prince William were not as compelling as some other speakers – even on the British delegation. (Confession: I love Beckham, and it would have been neat to see him play in front of his kids in his home country.) Of course there’s also already whispers that Russia got the bid by less-than-honest means, with allegations of money coming into play.

Sam Elliott: Five Things About The November Christmas Star

Did you catch Sam Elliott last night in “November Christmas,” the touching CBS movie about an older couple (Elliott and Karen Allen) who try to help a younger one (John Corbett and Sarah Paulson) with a seriously ill daughter? In real life, Elliott says he had friends who lost a child, and he couldn’t imagine what that would be like.

“The loss of a child is just not supposed to happen,” the father of one told Zap2It.

Here’s five things about this wonderful actor – it was great to see him on-screen last night!

1. He and future wife Katharine Ross appeared in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”

2. But they did not meet until nine years later, when they filmed “The Legacy” in 1978.

3. He attended Clark College in Vancouver, Wash.

4. He’s best known for his roles in Westerns and cowboy movies.

5. He’s rumored to be in contention to play Jonah Jameson in the newest “Spider-Man” film.

While Alec Baldwin’s Wegmans connection may seem a little “Huh?”… it’s actually a pretty simple explanation of why Alec Baldwin is in the Wegmans ads.

Simple answer: Alec Baldwin’s mom loves Wegmans.

The more involved answer: During a late night talk show appearance, Alec Baldwin told David Letterman that his mom won’t leave her central New York home to move out to where he is in California because she loves Wegmans too much!

Lo and behold, Alec Baldwin appears in the Wegmans ads – with his mom, no less!!

And since Baldwin doesn’t really need the paycheck, he’s donated the earnings from the Wegmans ads to his mom’s Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. Carol Baldwin is a breast cancer survivor.

Wegmans is a local favorite where I live and if you have this grocery store chain in your city, count yourself lucky!
