Rihanna and Justin Bieber are at the top of the new Billboard Social 50 Chart. The new chart joins the industry standard, Billboard Hot 100 to track artist popularity.
The new Social 50 chart includes social media to tally artist popularity. Billboard is using social music tracking service Next Big Sound to keep track of artist stats on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social networks.
The first Social 50 Chart includes some names you might know: Rihanna earned the #1 spot, followed by Justin Bieber at #2 and Eminem at #3. Coming in at #4 is Lady Gaga with new artist Nicki Minaj in the fifth spot in the Billboard Social 50.
