
Matt Hughes won UFC Hall of Famer title, and also a former two-time Welterweight Champion. Hughes won two separate six-fight winning stripes in UFC and won the welterweight title for two times, he protected the belt seven times and grasps the record for most wins in the UFC.
He holds the record for most UFC fights with 23 along with Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell. He made his debut in UFC on 2nd November, 2001 against Carlos Newton, where he won the bout by KO (slam) in the second round at UFC 34: High Voltage.
Among his recent matches of 2010, he won against Ricardo Almeida at UFC 117 via Technical Submission (Front Headlock Choke) in the first round, the match was held on 7th July, 2010 and on 10th April, 2010 he defeated Renzo Gracie at UFC 112 by TKO (Punches) in the 3rd round.
B.J. Penn (15-7-1 MMA, 11-6-1 UFC) is a MMA fighter from America and he is also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who currently competes in the UFC. Penn became the first non-Brazilian winner of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in 2000.
Penn is a former UFC Welterweight Champion and also a UFC Lightweight Champion. He became only the second fighter to win UFC titles in two different weight classes. After that he won the lightweight title at UFC 80, having earlier won the UFC’s Welterweight title from Matt Hughes at UFC 46.
Penn started his MMA career on May 24, 2001 with a win against Joey Gilbert at UFC 31. He then verified strong striking skills, by defeating lightweights Din Thomas and Caol Uno at UFC 32 and UFC 34 respectively. Among his recent fights against Frankie Edgar, he lost both the bouts by Unanimous Decision. So, this is likely to be exciting fight in UFC.
