Baltimore Fire

A baltimore fire broke out in the city’s adult district today.
The blaze ignited in a building and spread quickly to five or six others, according to fire spokesman Battalion Chief Kevin Cartwright.
He said two buildings were evacuated, including one with fire department offices in it.
A strong wind didn’t help. it only fanned the flames and thick smoke covered most of the downtown area.
Cranes were used to pour water on the flames. Cartwright says the cause of the fire is being investigated.
There is no official estimate of the amount of damage the fire has cost.
Buildings near the fire will be inspected for smoke damage, says Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.
The adult district, known as The Block, has had its fair share of fires.
Dating back to 1904, the neighborhood was destroyed, along with most of the city, with The Baltimore Fire of 1904.
