‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ vs ‘Tangled’


harry-potter-deathly-hallowsHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows battles Tangled for the top of the box office this weekend. The two fantasy films are fighting for the number one spot in theaters.


The latest flick in the profitable Harry Potter saga has earned an estimated $232 million so far—and the film is still going strong.


Tangled is a Disney fairytale with a modern twist. Featuring the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi.  Tangled raked in over $5 million at the box office on Friday alone!


Entertainment Weekly reports that Burlesque, the new musical starring Cher and Christina Aguilera has earned $2 million this weekend. The romantic comedy, Love and Other Drugs raked in $2 million dollars so far.  Love and Other Drugs stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway touched down in Sydney this weekend to promote their their sexy flick.


Aussie newspaper The Herald Sun reports that Gyllenhaal and Hathaway were besieged by fans at Sydney International Airport. According to The Herald Sun:


The pair remained tight-lipped about their trip down under, but looked relaxed ahead of the Australian premiere of their racy movie tomorrow night.
