Michael C. Hall Divorce: Five Things About Amy Spanger, His Ex

Michael C Hall divorce: Five things about his ex, Amy Spanger

Michael C. Hall’s divorce will soon give him two ex-wives: Jennifer Carpenter, his co-star in the decidedly kid-unfriendly “Dexter,” and Amy Spanger, starring in the kid-tastic adaption of “Elf,” the hit Will Ferrell movie. But Spanger’s resume doesn’t include too much else that’s kid-friendly! She and Hall were married from 2002 to 2006, and a year later he and Carpenter wed. Here’s five things about Amy Spanger, including her “American Idol” connection.

1. She’s a Broadway singer and actress with a long list of credits dating back before she wed Hall.

2.  She played Maureen in the first national tour of “Rent” and also appeared in Jonathan Larson’s “tick, tick … BOOM!”

3. She has co-starred twice with former “American Idol” contestant Constantine Maroulis.

4. She and Hall co-starred in “Chicago” together after they married.

5. She also guested on “Six Feet Under,” Hall’s former HBO show.

Aeropostale Belted Fur Trim Puffer Coat – retails for $99.50, but is just $25 through the Today show link – no discount code necessary. UPDATE: The puffer coat sold out, but Aeropostale is honoring a coupon for the sale price in stores.

Radio Shack originally offered a GPS product, but sold out of the 10,000 units in just minutes! They are now offering a Samsung Seek for Boost Mobile for $99.99.

Did you get any Today show steals and deals? I got the puffer coat and had no problem with the website or ordering – while some of these offers are a parent’s dream for the savings, it’s frustrating for those that can’t get through to the websites or when the items sell out.

Facebook Cartoon Profile Pic News: Reasons Why Facebook Campaign

Facebook Cartoon Profile Pic Campaign Not A Hoax

The Facebook cartoon profile pic news has completely taken over Facebook this weekend! Facebook cartoon profile pictures are all over the news, and people everywhere are wondering why everyone’s Facebook picture is a cartoon. The original theory for the Facebook cartoon profile pic craze was that people were changing their Facebook pictures to cartoons to speak out against child abuse and violence. Facebook cartoon profile pic news now says that the campaign may actually be a hoax set up by online child predators.

Some are saying that online child predators started the Facebook cartoon craze to lure innocent children into accepting Facebook friend requests from people who appear to be friendly cartoon characters.

There is always the possibility that the Facebook cartoon campaign is a hoax, but there are a few good reasons why it is NOT a hoax as well.

1. Not many children use Facebook. Facebook is primarily for teens and adults, so Facebook may be an unlikely place for online predators to lurk.

2. Parents are much more aware of what their kids do online. If there are younger kids with Facebook accounts, their parents will likely monitor who they accept friend requests from.

3. Online predators tend to be much more discreet. Would they really start a Facebook craze to lure kids in when they know they will likely be caught?

4. The Facebook cartoon campaign has an expiration date of December 6th. If this were really an act of online predators, why would they put a time stamp on it?

Do you think the Facebook cartoon profile pic news is a hoax?

Changing Facebook Picture To Cartoon A Hoax?

Did you change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon?

Facebook Cartoon Profile Pic News: Changing Facebook Picture To Cartoon A Hoax?

Facebook Cartoon Profile Pic News: Why Some Think It's A Hoax

In the latest Facebook cartoon profile pic news, there are people out there who truly believe that the “Changing Facebook Picture to Cartoon” campaign is a hoax. What started as an innocent effort to raise child abuse awareness has grown into a frenzy of skeptics, disbelievers, and people who just don’t know what to make of the whole Facebook cartoon profile picture meme.

The reasons people think that the Facebook cartoon profile pic news could be a hoax range from people not wanting to believe that anything as innocent as changing their Facebook profile picture to a cartoon exists to people who really think that online child predators put the whole thing together.

Here are some of the reasons why people believe the latest Facebook cartoon profile pic news of a Facebook hoax:

1. While the idea is great, a lot of people don’t think that the Facebook cartoon profile pic meme will actually do anything to stop child abuse.

2. With all of the online child predators in existence, it’s easy to think that they possibly could’ve started a quest for victims on Facebook.

3. People freak out whenever anything becomes remotely popular, especially something on Facebook or other social media outlets.

4. It’s possible that someone decided to start rumors about Facebook cartoon profile pic news just to get people stirred up about the whole standing up to child abuse thing. Some people can’t accept others doing something good for no reason.

5. Once a rumor starts, it tends to grow. Is the Facebook cartoon profile pic news of a hoax just a nasty rumor?

Facebook Cartoon Hoax: Should You Change Your Profile Picture Back?

Parents across the country have had a fun time this weekend digging out pictures of all their favorite cartoon characters from their youth.  As the Facebook cartoon character campaign nears its end, there are some who want to bring the cartoons to an abrupt end with claims of it all being a hoax by child predators.

If the Facebook cartoon character campaign is a hoax should you change your profile picture back?

While it appears that both the campaign credited with creating the cartoon profile request and the response claiming that it really originated from a group of child predators are hoaxes, the entire thing really is harmless.  There’s no real need to change your profile back to a personal photo or a picture of your kids.  In fact posting a photo of your kids instead of a vintage cartoon would be more of an enticement to the predators of the world.

Even though the news may get you upset about the Facebook cartoon hoax just remember how much fun it was to look at all those old-school cartoons this weekend and keep a close eye on your kids online activities to help keep them safe.

Facebook Cartoon Profile Pic News: Child Predator Rumors True?

Facebook cartoon profile pic news includes child predator, hoax rumors

Facebook cartoon profile pic news includes child predator rumors and whether the Facebook cartoon profile pics campaign is all just a hoax.

While the intent of the Facebook cartoon profile pics was to raise awareness about violence against children, some are questioning if the Facebook cartoon character campaign is a hoax or if it’s a legit cause.

Was Facebook cartoon profile pic news aobut the campaign being a hoax just an unfounded rumor to add controversy to something that most people have been participating in for fun and to support a good cause?

Still, warnings of the Facebook cartoon character profile pic campaign being a hoax are popping up, with some pointing to a group of pedophiles originating the campaign to target children.

Are the Facebook cartoon profile pic child predator rumors true? Doubtful, but here is one warning:

“ATTENTION! Just reported that the group that started the post about changing your profile picture to a cartoon character is actually a pedophiles group that is doing this because its easier to get accepted friend requests! Please re-post.”

Do you belive the Facebook cartoon profile news about child predators?

Twilight Eclipse DVD: Five Reasons You Moms Will Love It!

Twilight Eclipse DVD: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart make moms smile!

Did you get your “Twlilight: Eclipse” DVD yet? Yesterday I noted that other moms’ Facebook status were full of “waiting for my Eclipse DVD!” and “Loving Eclipse extras.” The most popular feature seemed to be the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart commentary, which generated a lot of Twitter comments, too. Here are five reasons you Twihard moms will love this new DVD!
1. Because it’s not “SpongeBob,” the Wiggles or anything animated.
2. Because Rob Pattinson is soooo much dreamier than your husband. (Whom you love, but let’s be realistic.)
3. Because the older Rob gets, the less guilty you have to feel about lusting after him.
4. Because the Rob and Kristen (I’d say Robsten … but I still can’t stomach that teenbopper term) commentary is pretty funny. (At one point, Rob pretends he’s Batman, and he makes a “Hey, Boo Boo!” reference.)
5. Because sometimes we need to be reminded that we’re more than just moms – we’re busy women who also need to enjoy things other than our dear and wonderful children. “Twilight” is always the perfect reminder.

Breaking Dawn: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Steamy Scenes

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are in Brazil filming Breaking Dawn. But steamy photos from the Breaking Dawn of Rob and Kristen making out are burning up the Internet.

Playing husband and wife onscreen has made Robsten even more romantic and things seem to be getting more serious between the two actors.

The steamy photos from the Breaking Dawn set have even set off rumors that there will be a Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart wedding on the horizon—or even a baby!  Why do people go crazy about the Twilight story and about Edward & Bella?  Twilight Saga: Eclipse director David Slade gives his opinion, in an interview with the Vancouver Sun:

“I do believe in romantic love. How could you not, if you’re lucky enough to find it? It seems like we live in a much more sarcastic . . . cynical culture, and I don’t like to use the c-word. There’s the idea out there maybe that (romantic love) isn’t cool. But true love is a wonderful thing.”

Breaking Dawn, the final story in in the Twilight Saga follows main characters Bella Swan and Edward Cullen as they get married, start a family and Bella turns immortal.

Breaking Dawn is such a long story it has to be broken up into two films.  Part 1 is set for release on November 18, 2011, with Part 2 in November, 2012.

Facebook Cartoon Profile Pic: Road Runner Cartoon

Road Runner cartoon

As you are likely now aware, people on Facebook are changing their profile pictures to shots of cartoon characters from the 80’s in an effort to speak out against childhood violence.

Another favorite are the Warner Brothers’ cartoons.  Bugs Bunny, the Road Runner, Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird, Sylvester Cat, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote, Foghorn Leghorn, Porky Pig, Pepe Le Pew, Speedy Gonzales, and more, received their best network television treatment on CBS’ The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour.

The classic Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies half-hour cartoons first aired on prime-time network television in 1960-1962.  CBS’ The Road Runner Show, premiered on September 10, 1966 and was telecast for two years until September 7, 1968. Its episodes consisted of three cartoons, one with the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, one with Tweety and Sylvester, and one with a rather eclectic selection of Warner Brothers cartoon characters.

Looney Tunes

In 1968, when CBS acquired the network broadcast rights to Bugs Bunny’s television show, it decided to merge the two television programs into one, and The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour was born.
